WHADDEN CHASE - PLANNING
We have added a new floor to this 1960s modernist property.
The goal of the project was to restore and enhance the original features of the house as well as completely reconfigure the layout to work with a contemporary way of living.
The project adds a large dormer to add new bedrooms as well as vaulting the rest of ceilings where possible to give an incredible sense of space.
TREVALIA
We were appointed to design and construct two children’s bedrooms.
Working with our youngest client’s we developed brief’s to theme their ideal bedrooms in a style that they can grow into.
The boy’s bedroom reflects an 80s Japan aesthetic with a concealed desk.
The girl’s bedroom takes a biophilic approach using a textured plaster and clean geometric patterns.
RAGSTONES - ON SITE
We are constructing a new build home set surrounding an apple orchard in Kent.
The project deals with difficult planning conditions due to it’s position in the green belt. The project scope covers the exterior and interior packages to create a wholistic architectural expression.
Our design approach is to reflect the client’s ambition of an elevated New England style home.
ST DAVIDS - PLANNING GRANTED
We have added a two storey side and rear extension overcoming tight local planning policies. The site deals with a large drop in elevation as well as respective neighbours right to light. Using the client’s wish for a timber cladding, the approved design will be constructed by off-site CLT panels.
The rear facade features a corner glazed window seat which floats just above a contemplation pool.
HEYTHROPS - ON SITE
We are adding a series of interventions on an existing 1960s property, including a small side extension, a new front dormer and a large rear extension with a pocket courtyard.
The rear facade will use a grey hand-made brick and pre-cast fluted stone panels to ground the elevation. The bespoke Portland stone lintels above the steel doors are scalloped to cast an interesting shadow.
CORNWALLIS - ON SITE
Working with our client to reconfigure the kitchen and dining space to allow for a growing family. We had previously extended the home 15 years ago and the project is due to start on site early 2020.
The extension replaces the existing conservatory and reframes views down the garden.
and we worked with our client to test multiple roof massing’s to ensure that the best result was achieved.
Our approach to the interior design strongly references the farmhouse of the original house whilst still feel contemporary but appropriate.
GRACE GARDENS - ON SITE
Reworking a previously unaltered 1920’s home, we aimed to reconfigure the living space which maximises natural sunlight whilst not unnecessarily adding cost to the build.
The extension was designed as a phased development which will ultimately maximise the site steadily as required by the family.
Our interior design brief was to sit between an industrial style and 70s kitsch with our catalyst for the material palette being the family tartan.
GARDEN PAVILION
As more of our clients are looking to rapidly and affordably add space to their homes as typicla working habits alter, we have design a modular product to act as the perfect solution.
Basing the design on a modular system has allowed us to adopt a number of modern methods of construction which reduces the cost when looking at options for extra space. As a result, the building can also be easily dismantled and relocated whenever you need as no planning permission is required in most cases.
Whether you need a new home office, treatment room, yoga studio, gym or a playroom the design allows us to fascilitate this affordably as well as sitting discreetly in the garden due to the finishes available.
RIDGWAY - COLLABORATION
We worked in collaboration to produce visualisations for interior and exterior spaces which included multiple material tests to specify the perfect materials for the project.
HORSEFERRY ROAD - COLLABORATION
We worked in collaboration to produce visualisations for a competition to redesign the entrance for the prestigious building in Westminster.
